Looking after dogs.

Caring for your dog as if it was my own.

A safe and and loving service
for your dog.

Welcome to
Looking After Dogs.

About me.

I'm a dog lover with 17 plus years experience looking after different breeds. It all began when I rescued my first dog from Newport’s RSPCA in 2010. Rosie was a Welsh Border Collie who had been abandoned. She was a very nervous dog who required training. I took her on a puppy training course with Steve Venmore, and together we gained puppy and Bronze training certificates.
It was a struggle at first, but then after 18 months it all clicked and we were best of friends; she was truly trusting of me and I of her. Sadly Rosie is no longer with me, but she taught me invaluable lessons.

  • That dogs are very vulnerable.

  • That a dog has true feelings.

  • That a dog needs love.

  • That a dog gives love.

  • That a dog is faithful and more....

These invaluable lessons have stayed with me since the first day I laid eyes on Rosie.

A second Home.

I understand that leaving your dog can be worrying for you and your dog, that's why I will treat your dog as if it was my own and as part of my family, ensuring he/she receives the attention, care, and affection he/she needs.

Finding the right dog sitter.

Finding the right dog sitter is difficult. I know what it’s like; too many dogs in one space, or there is the choice of putting your dog into kennels where dogs bark every time a door opens and closes; not suitable for all dog ages, breeds and personalities!

I live and work in South Wales. After studying Fine Art in Southampton and working as an artist I decided to move to Newport. I did various jobs; Website Design, I worked in Health & Social Care and Retail. Recently I decided to create my own small business Looking after Dogs, so here I am. I love dogs, actually I love all animals. I feel very comfortable around them; we always have fun. I have found that all dogs have their own personalities and I am mindful that treating each dog as an individual and with respect, like humans, is when you earn their trust and gain a friend.

This is me with one of my customers.

Love is a
Four Legged Word.

I provide dog walking and dog care services in your home, ensuring a safe and loving environment for your dog.
